Jools Holland - 27th June

Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra featuring Gilson Lewis with special guest vocalists Ruby Turner, Louise Marshall and Marc Almond will return for a 12th consecutive year to Newmarket’s July Course, performing on Friday 27th June 2008.
Jools Holland’s musical career has spanned over 4 decades since being the founding member of the hit British band Squeeze in 1974. He began recording solo material in 1978 and to date has recorded 12 studio albums.
In 1987, Jools formed The Jools Holland Big Band – comprising of himself and Gilson Lavis, an original member of Squeeze. This gradually metamorphosed into the current 18-piece Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, which consists of one pianist, one drummer, two female vocals, one guitar, one bass guitar, two tenor saxophones, two alto saxophones, one baritone saxophone, three trumpets, and four trombones.
