Spring Fixtures 2010
Newmarket's sparkling Spring season takes place on the historic Rowley Mile “Course of Champions” which boasts world class facilities and world class racing.

The Craven Meeting: Wednesday 14th April & Thursday 15th April
The first important meeting of the British flat racing season when racegoers can not only see some of the new stars of 2010 in action for the first time, but also witness several important Classic trials pointing the way ahead to, in particular, Newmarket's two Guineas races and Epsom's Derby and Oaks.

The StanJames.com Guineas Festival: Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd May
One of the highlights of the sporting year, this is racing at its purest and best featuring the first two British Classics, the stanjames.com 2000 Guineas on Saturday and the stanjames.com 1000 Guineas on Sunday.
This is a crucial weekend in the international racing calendar, with the world’s best jockeys and trainers competing for glory on the hallowed turf of Newmarket’s Rowley Mile.
There is no other racecourse in the world that compares to Newmarket’s Rowley Mile – it provides racing unlike any other and The stanjames.com Guineas Festival is its showcase event. For sheer equine class and brilliance you simply cannot beat it, so make the most of the first May Bank Holiday long weekend and come and see more sporting history being made at the magnificent Home of Racing!

Mid-May Fixture: Thursday 13th (evening) - The St Nicholas Hospice Care Charity Race Night, Friday 14th & Saturday 15th May
An evening fixture - the only one on the Rowley Mile - and two afternoon fixtures give you three opportunities to sample the inimitable Rowley Mile experience. Why not take a day off on the Friday and enjoy a long spring weekend to remember together with all three exciting race programmes at the Home of Racing?
Bank Holiday Meeting: Friday 28th, Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th May
The Spring Friday afternoon meeting provides an ideal opportunity to entertain clients or reward staff. Take the afternoon off and enjoy the fun and thrills of an afternoon at the races and build those all important business relationships at the same time!
On the Saturday, the card features a valuable Heritage Handicap, the Coral Sprint, and two significant Listed Races, the King Charles II Stakes and the Fairway Stakes.
The Saturday is the 350th anniversary of Charles II becoming King and Charles will appear in costume together with eight colourful characters who would have accompanied him on his many trips to his beloved Newmarket between 1660 and his death in 1685.
The characters will wander around the racecourse during the afternoon and to crack a special racecard competition, you need to answer questions about each of them. If you don’t know the answers, then you can ask them yourself! It’s something of a mobile treasure hunt!
The Rotary Club of Newmarket Charity Race Day on Sunday will be a fantastic family occasion on the Rowley Mile, with a wonderful blend of top class racing, pony racing and free children's entertainments. Click on the link below for more information.
