Best Dressed Awards Announced

PRIZES have now been confirmed for the ‘Best Dressed Awards’ at this year’s Ritz Club July Festival, Newmarket’s Premier Summer Event on Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th July. This irresistible three day event offers classic English racing in an enchanting garden party setting, making it a fantastic social occasion.
The Fashion focus will once again spread across all 3 days of The Ritz Club July Festival with ‘Best Dressed Awards’ on each day and the introduction of a small retail village within the July Course.
Wednesday 11th July – Classic FM Day
On the first day of this stunning festival, Newmarket presents an extra special event in collaboration with Britain’s most popular commercial radio station, Classic FM as there will be a series of classical music performances throughout the day headlined by classical chart topper Gardar Thor Cortes.
The day boasts a top class racecard which includes the Group 1 UAE Hydra Properties Falmouth Stakes and the Group 1 Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Cherry Hinton Stakes.
Off the track all eyes will be on head-turning hats, handbags and shoes as Wednesday’s Award will be for ‘Most Stylish Accessories’.
1st Prize - £500 voucher to spend at Michael Birnie Jewellery, Bury St Edmunds
2nd Prize – Thai Spa Experience for 2, courtesy of Sangdao Spa of Newmarket.
3rd Prize - £80 voucher to be spent at online shoe Boutique, Mima Lee, www.mimalee.co.uk.
All 10 finalists will receive a Goodie Bag containing a fabulous hat courtesy of Newmarket Hat Hire, of Fordham near Newmarket.
Thursday 12th July – Lanson Ladies Day
Day two of The Ritz Club July Festival is the most stylish race day in the Newmarket racing calendar, Lanson Ladies’ Day. There will be plenty of top class racing entertainment on the track as the Princess of Wales’s wbx.com Stakes takes centre stage.
Off the track all eyes will be on the ladies as they compete to be crowned Lanson’s ‘Best Dressed Lady’ and win some fantastic prizes.
1st Prize – A year’s supply of Lanson
2nd Prize – £250 personal shopper and make-over experience courtesy of Debenhams, Cambridge.
3rd Prize – Ladies’ Lunch for 6 at the Tuddenham Mill Hotel and Restaurant, near Newmarket.
All 10 finalists will receive a Goodie Bag which includes tickets for Newmarket Nights with Ronan Keating on Friday 10th August.
Friday 13th July – Darley July Cup Day
Friday draws the festival to exhilarating close with the most exciting of race cards, headlined by The Darley July Cup, Europe's premier sprint, where champions are crowned and stud careers secured.
Racing action does not get any hotter than the Darley July Cup, as race goers will witness the fastest thoroughbreds fighting to compete for the champion sprinter's crown and the £375,000 purse which makes The Darley July Cup the most valuable sprint race in the European calendar.
For Friday’s fashion stakes the focus turns to couples as they don their finest to compete for ‘Best Dressed Couple’ and win some amazing prizes.
1st prize – Dinner for 2 at The Ritz Club, London including wine for an evening of the winner’s choice
2nd Prize – Weekend break for two at The Gore Hotel located in Kensington, London.
3rd Prize – Porsche Boxter S for the weekend courtesy of Porsche Centre, Cambridge
Each couple will receive a Goodie Bag including a pair of tickets for Newmarket Nights with The Pet Shop Boys, Friday 27th July.
