HUGHES &NEWMARKET RACECOURSES – A WINNING COMBINATION

Sound, Vision and Kitchen Appliance retailer, Hughes and Newmarket Racecourses have joined forces to give their customers the chance to, not only enjoy a great day’s racing, but also be in with a chance of winning a fabulous flat screen HD-ready TV every day of the thirty-eight day, 2008 season.  

Hughes who moved into Newmarket in October last year when they opened a flagship store on the site of the old Palmers Department store, have been in business for over 85 years and are proud to be a family business with a customer focused vision, borne out by their motto “inspiring customer loyalty through quality service”. 

Hughes’ Marketing Director, Bob Saucier said “It is our intention to develop a strong relationship locally and become part of the community and acknowledge the fantastic welcome to the town that the people of Newmarket have given us. To support this, we approached the racecourse, as a key player here, to see how we might work together to achieve this.  We came up with the idea of awarding a prize of a flat screen TV at each of Newmarket’s 38 race days through the 2008 season with a total prize value of over £22,000.  The prizes will be targeted at various customer groups covering general racegoers in all enclosures, stable hands, Newmarket Nights’ racegoers, advance ticket bookers and annual badge holders etc.  There will be plenty of opportunities to win through the season.  In addition, Hughes’ customers will further benefit from the association with a reduced price race ticket offer.  Details of the offer will be available in all 34 of the Hughes stores across the region.”

Competition Details

Competition Entry - Terms & Conditions

1          This promotion is open to GB residents aged 18 and over, other than employees of Newmarket Racecourses or Hughes and their immediate families

2          The prizes are as detailed in the table 

3          The prize will be awarded to the first valid entry randomly drawn on each day of the promotion. Winners will be drawn on the day of the event and the winner will be announced over the Public Address System and notified in writing.  If the winner is in attendance at the event, a prize voucher presentation will take place.

4           Prize to be collected from Hughes, 89 - 95 High Street Newmarket

5          Winner must produce winning certificate and accompanying letter (from Newmarket Racecourses) to
            authenticate their claim to the prize and vouchers must be presented for exchange by 31^st December 2008.

6          No prize stocks can be altered for cash equivalent.

7          All prize stocks have a 12 month (unless otherwise stated) manufacturers only guarantee. Any subsequent
            issues will be dealt with by the manufacturer only, not Hughes or Newmarket Racecourses.

8          Products can be COLLECTED FREE OF CHARGE ONLY from the Newmarket branch. Any additional services         i.e. delivery and installation will be chargeable and all costs are available from Hughes branch, Newmarket.
