The Wedding Show
The first Newmarket Wedding Show was held at the racecourse in January 2008, originally as a show for the spring season with our other wedding show in the Autumn held at Homerton College. The show was such a success in the Autumn of 2008 we moved the entire show to the Racecourse to allow greater use and expand the show up to 100 exhibitors. In January 2011 we held the fifth show at the Racecourse and increased the number of exhibitors to 110 - the show is becoming one of the largest and most prestigious wedding shows in the area. The show is well known throughout the industry as the show to exhibit at and to visit for ideas. Orangery Flowers organised the event and have just won an award in the Ely Business Awards of 2010 for their business ideas and connections with local businesses.
The show registers brides on the door as well as visitors. The January 2010 show registered just short of 400 brides and around 1200 visitors on the day. The exhibitors always expect it to be a busy but exciting day.
The next wedding show is planned for 4th September 2011. The show is free to visit and goodie bags are available on the door. Visitors can expect to see everything that you may need for a wedding including Chocolate Fountains, Florists, Dresses and Entertainment as well as some unexpected things.
