90s pop sensation Steps has been announced as the first live act confirmed to play at Newmarket Racecourses in 2012.
Tickets are now on sale for the Steps concert on Saturday 25th August 2012. Their performance comes in addition to the exclusive Newmarket Nights and will be one of two Summer Saturday Live family events being hosted by the Racecourse throughout 2012, combining fun family entertainment with an afternoon's racing and an early evening concert.
Steps have sold 20 million records and achieved 14 consecutive Top 5 singles. Ten years since their infamous split in 2001, their recent comeback has been met with excitement from fans. Seven of the venues on their 2012 UK arena tour have already sold out.
The performance at Newmarket Racecourses is additional to the Steps arena tour and will be the first time Steps have ever performed at the venue.

The recent four-part Sky Living documentary 'Steps Reunion' has had the highest viewing figures of any Sky Living show this year and their Ultimate Collection album, which went on sale in October 2011, went straight to number one in the official album chart.
