Friday 22nd June - Madness
Newmarket Racecourses are delighted to confirm Madness as the first of six acts to perform at the newly named Adnams Newmarket Nights in 2012.
The ska band, which first rose to fame in the early 80’s, is set to make a popular return to the venue on Friday 22nd June 2012, after last performing to a sell out crowd back in 2010.
Madness, described as having a ‘brash salt of the earth carnival vitality’, are recognised as one of England’s greatest pop groups and after 30 years together and nine studio albums, they will bring their unique sound and sense of style to the Adnams Newmarket Nights stage.
Adnams Newmarket Nights* are the perfect way to kick-start the weekend with friends and family, beginning with an early evening of exhilarating horse racing at the historic ‘Home of Horseracing’ and ending, when dusk falls, with a spectacular open air concert.

This is the third time the band has performed at Newmarket in the last ten years and the concert is expected to sell out quickly.

Please note that children aged 5 and over will need an entry ticket. There are a limited number of child's tickets available and once this limited number of child's tickets has been sold, children will be charged the full adult rate.
Timings
Gates open 2 1/2 hours before the first race, racing commences at approximately 6pm and finishes at approximately 9pm (during the latter part of the summer, these times become earlier). The concert commences approximately 20 minutes after the last race and last between 60-90mintues.
