Racecourse Information
In this section you will find an introduction to Newmarket's two racecourses, which lie side-by-side on the Cambridgeshire-Suffolk border but are dramatically different from each other. There's the grandeur of the modern and imposing Rowley Mile, where racing takes place in the spring and autumn, and the charm of the quaint and picturesque July Course, where racing is staged during the summer months.
You will also find details about the dress codes for the different enclosures on each racecourse, information about the free admission of children under 18, a run-down on the places where you can eat and drink on each racecourse, directions to Newmarket and details on car parking.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if there's something you want to ask which you can't find the answer to on our website, but if it's a more general query about horseracing, you may find the answer in our New to Racing section.
Please note: Transfers between enclosures are subject to capacity restrictions.

Equestrian Art Ltd - the home of contemporary equestrian fine art - exhibit with us on most racedays. For more information please click here to visit their website.
