Newmarket operates a three enclosure system on most days at the Rowley Mile. This enables racegoers to purchase entrance tickets of their choice from the following options:

Premier Enclosure

This enclosure is open to Annual Badge Holders and any racegoer purchasing a Premier Enclosure badge for the day. Premier Enclosure admission entitles you to enjoy the best facilities and the best views of the Winning Post and also provides access to the other enclosures (Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure and Rowley Enclosure) on the course.

Smart dress is required in the Premier Enclosure. Racegoers who do not comply with the dress code will be refused admission into the Premier Enclosure.

Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure

This enclosure provides good grandstand race viewing with access to view the Parade Ring, Pre-Parade Ring and Winners’ Circle and to the Garden Enclosure. The bookmakers are located in this and the Rowley Enclosure. A more relaxed dress code operates in the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure with smart jeans and tailored shorts permitted.

Rowley Enclosure

Located furthest from the winning post, visitors to this enclosure do not have a view of the Parade Ring or Winners’ Circle. The RowleyEnclosure offers race viewing from temporary stands and catering outlets operate mainly from mobile units. There are bookmakers located here as well as Tote betting outlets. There is an excellent children’s play area and picnics may be brought into this enclosure.

The Rowley Enclosure on the Rowley Mile Racecourse is only open on the following days in 2009 – Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May, Saturday 16th May, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May in the spring and Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd and Saturday 17th October in the autumn.

Transfers between Enclosures

Racegoers may transfer to a higher priced enclosure on the day, subject to availability, by paying the appropriate price at the Transfer Office in the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure or at the Transfer Gate in the Rowley Enclosure.
