By Rail

By Rail Regular commuter services run from London Kings Cross and Liverpool Street to Cambridge, Stansted Airport and Ipswich where onward connections by rail or road can be made to Newmarket.

Newmarket Racecourses provide a subsidized coach service from Newmarket Town Centre, Cambridge Station and Stansted Airport. See “Coaches” below for details.

Newmarket Racecourses operates a return coach service on race days to and from the racecourse, from different points around Cambridge. Prices: £4 single and £6.50 return.

Newmarket

The racecourse provides a complimentary shuttle service on all race days. The service runs between Newmarket Town Centre and the course starting approximately two hours before the first race with pick ups at Hughes Electrical Store, The Guineas Shopping Centre and Newmarket Railway Station.

Newmarket Railway Station pick ups are timed to coincide with the arrival times of trains from Cambridge and Ipswich. The return journeys from the racecourse commence around 45 minutes before the last race and continue for up to two hours except on the "Newmarket Nights" evening meetings when the service also operates at the conclusion of the post racing concerts.

The bus stop for the Newmarket Shuttle Bus is located outside of Premier Enclosure 1.
