Newmarket Town Plate

Founded in 1664 (or 1665 accounts vary) by King Charles II, the Newmarket Town Plate was the first race of its kind to be staged under written rules.
It will be contested this year on The Round Course, Newmarket over 3 Miles 6 Furlongs.
