WILLIAM Buick completed a sizzling four-timer and then declared: "It should have been five!"

The in-form jockey was referring to a second-place effort on Invisible Man, but in truth it was hard to fault his near perfect afternoon's work.

Buick scored on Fallen For You, Haylaman and Full Speed before many punters apparently followed him blind in the lucky last in which he booted home the well-supported favourite Zero Money.

The Roger Charlton-gelding was, in the eyes of Buick backers, inappropriately named as they really filled their boots on a red-letter day for the young rider.

The most striking winner of his awesome foursome was Fallen For You, who took the Adnams Bitter EBF Maiden Stakes in most exciting fashion.

Green from the gates, she looked to have it all to do with just two of the seven furlongs remaining.
But cool-hand Buick never panicked as he switched her left and encouraged her to quicken, which she did in thrilling style.

With a low skimming action, she let rip to leave her field in her slipstream and win by two lengths - value for further.

Winning trainer John Gosden said: "She is in the Fillies' Mile (Newmarket) and the May Hill Stakes (at Doncaster) is a possibility beforehand."

Buick had to settle for second best in the Adnams Copper House EBF Hernando Conditions Stakes as Balducci secured a popular 2/1 success. Buick's old rival from his apprentice days, David Probert, this time gave the masterclass as he tailed the long-time leader Colonial before collaring him on route to a one-length win from the favourite Invisible Man.

Yorkshire trainer Tim Easterby hadn't enjoyed much luck at Newmarket in recent times before Saturday's Adnams Spindrift Fillies' Handicap. He'd sent out just one winner from his previous 31 runners at the July Course, but that statistic was improved with a stable one-two, thanks to Roger Sez leading home Nearly a Gift.

Winning owner Roger Sidebottom said: "Neil Callan said he'd nearly given up on her early in the race and then he gave her a smack and that woke her up. There should be more to come"

There certainly will be more to come at the July Course this summer with our next card taking place on Friday, August 5.
