It's Royal Ascot for Klammer
Klammer - on course for victory in the 32RedPoker.com Novice Stakes
KLAMMER is on his way to the Coventry Stakes after making it two wins from two starts in the 32RedPoker.com Novice Stakes today.
The Jane Chapple-Hyam-trained juvenile struck first time up at Newbury and is now bound for Group 2 action at Royal Ascot after this latest success on the Rowley Mile course.
Partnered by jockey Shane Kelly, he booked his spot at the Royal meeting with a neck success from My Son Max to justify 6/4 favouritism.
Chapple-Hyam said: “Going into the Dip, with his long legs, he took a bit of time to get motoring.
“But I don’t think the track at Ascot should hinder him and he’ll go for the Coventry, which he is entitled to.
“It’s nice to have a horse like this, it keeps everyone in the yard happy.”
