LUCIE JONES TO APPEAR AT NEWMARKET ON FRIDAY AFTER ALL
Lucie Jones, who withdrew last week from her appearance as one the X Factor Finalists at the opening Newmarket Night this Friday, will after all now join Jedward, Olly Murs, Stacey Solomon, Jamie Archer and Danyl Johnson on the July Course stage following evening racing.
Having just landed a leading role in Les Miserables, Lucie believed that she would be unable to perform at Newmarket. However her rehearsals will now be completed in time to fulfil her Newmarket Nights commitment.
"We are delighted that Lucie will, after all, take part in Friday's post-racing concert and one thing is for sure - everyone who comes to the opening Newmarket Night will get fantastic value for money with seven exciting races followed by a fantastic show and pulsating music from the X Factor stars," said Newmarket's Managing Director, Stephen Wallis. "The weather is set fair for Friday which is another big positive as what we hope will be a record-breaking Newmarket Nights season gets under way."
Tickets for all three enclosures will be on sale at the turnstiles on the night priced at £18 for the Garden Enclosure, £22 for Grandstand & Paddock and £28 for Premier Enclosure. A limited number of televisions around the racecourse will be showing the World Cup for those who want to keep abreast of England's game against Algeria, although the concert is due to start after the game has finished.

Concert starts 9.30pm
