Thanks for the Memory!

MEMORY (pictured above) produced a devastating late blitz to win the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Cherry Hinton Stakes this afternoon.

The Albany Stakes winner was ridden with supreme confidence by Richard Hughes and she duly delivered in the six-furlong Group 2 by three quarters of a length from Soraaya.

Held up on the rail by Hughes, he gradually edged her out and she sped through the closing stages to get up as the line loomed.

The 5/4 victory was a thrilling performance and left trainer Richard Hannon and the large contingent from owners Highclere Thoroughbreds delighted.

Hannon said: “She is different! She is a very good filly and has got gears. I will speak to Harry Herbert (Highclere Thoroughbreds) and we will talk about the Moyglare Stud Stakes next for her.”
