Sans Frontieres reaches new heights
SANS FRONTIERES (pictured above) recorded the biggest win of his career as he powered to victory in the Group 2 Princess of Wales’s sportingbet.com Stakes.
Injury hit the Galileo colt’s three-year-old campaign and he has taken time to recover top form this term.
But he built on his fourth place in the Hardwicke Stakes with a storming performance under jockey Tom Queally, scoring by two and a half lengths.
“I wasn’t really expecting him to win today,” said trainer Jeremy Noseda after the 14/1 triumph. “I thought he definitely had a good chance of being in the three but the race looked to be set up for Spanish Moon (the 11/8 favourite). So I would have been very happy to have finished second or third - to win is a nice bonus.”
The win came in Sir Robert Ogden’s pink and white silks and the owner was successful again just over half an hour later as Casual Glimpse struck for in-form trainer Richard Hannon in the European Breeders’ Fund Conditions Stakes.
