Group 1 star Awzaan to gallop
Trainer Mark Johnston will bring Awzaan to Rowley Mile for a gallop tomorrow
RACEGOERS will have an added treat during tomorrow’s eight-race card as unbeaten Group One winner Awzaan is scheduled to gallop.
The Mark Johnston-trained colt is 8/1 with the sponsors for the StanJames.com 2000 Guineas after a sizzling two-year-old campaign that culminated with victory in the Shadwell Middle Park Stakes on the Rowley Mile racecourse last autumn.
He will work with a stable companion immediately after the 3.00pm £250,000 Tattersalls Timeform 3-Y-O Trophy.
Before racing at 12.45pm, there will be two separate gallops featuring entries for the StanJames.com 1000 Guineas .
Trainer Sir Michael Stoute brings Group Three Sakhee Oh So Sharp Stakes winner Tabassum to exercise with one other, while the Barry Hills-trained Sent From Heaven will be accompanied by a stable companion.
The involved horses are expected in the parade ring from 12.30pm.
