Connections and VIPS after Sacred Kingdom's Hong Kong Sprint salvo
THE 2009 Global Sprint Challenge Series finished with Sacred Kingdom surging to success in the Hong Kong Sprint last Sunday.
The six-year-old won the $1.5million race for the second time in three renewals as he came home half a length ahead of One World.
Jockey Brett Prebble was aboard at Sha Tin as he led home a one-two-three-four for locally-trained runners.
Three legs of the Global Sprint Challenge are staged in England with Newmarket hosting Europe's premier sprint, the Darley July Cup.
In 2009, Fleeting Spirit won a top-quality running of the Darley July Cup for trainer Jeremy Noseda and jockey Tom Queally.
