Stanjames.com 1000 Guineas favourite to gallop before racing

John Gosden - will gallop Rainbow View tomorrow

RACE-GOERS will have an added treat ahead of tomorrow’s eight-race card as unbeaten Group 1 stars Rainbow View and Serious Attitude are scheduled to gallop.

The John Gosden-trained Rainbow View is favourite for The stanjames.com 1000 Guineas after a sizzling two-year-old campaign that culminated with victory in the Fillies’ Mile at Ascot.

She will work with a stable companion as – in a separate exercise – will Serious Attitude, who is three from three, including a success in the Cheveley Park Stakes.

Trainer Rae Guest’s charge will be partnered for the first time by her planned big-race jockey Pat Smullen.

There will also be a third work-out as trainer Barry Hills brings Ghanaati, who bolted up in a seven-furlong maiden by six lengths last October. She will be accompanied in her work by two stable companions.

The gallops are due to take place at 12.50pm with the horses expected in the parade ring for 12.30pm.
