More to come for Bushman
TRAINER David Simcock has the lucrative £160,000 totesport.com Cambridgeshire at Newmarket on Saturday, October 4, as an option for stable star Bushman (16/1 with sponsors totesport).
The lightly-raced four-year-old is among 100 horses - 13 more than last year - going forward after yesterday’s forfeit stage for the famous nine-furlong heritage handicap.
Bushman, a 15,000-guineas purchase as an unraced three-year-old at Tattersalls last October, has made tremendous progress this season, winning twice already.
Simcock revealed today: "Bushman certainly has the totesport.com Cambridgeshire on his agenda. He is going to run in the Doonside Cup at Ayr on Saturday, so how he runs there will determine where he goes next.
"He’s a very talented horse who appreciates soft ground and will go whether it’s heavy or soft, he doesn’t mind either. He will avoid fast ground, he doesn’t like it.
"I have no doubt that he’s a Group Three horse. He’s a horse with a lot of ability and I’m absolutely certain we haven’t seen the best of him yet."
