SERIOUS Attitude has been cut to 20/1 (from 33s) for the Stan James 1000 Guineas having retained her unbeaten record in the 32Red.com Cheveley Park Stakes.
The daughter of Mtoto, who was bought for just 7,500gns, stayed on well to win the Group 1 contest after being given a fine ride by jockey Jimmy Fortune.
She was sent off the 4-1 favourite having won her two previous starts, the latter of which saw her run out a decisive winner of a Listed contest at Salisbury.
Thrilled trainer Rae Guest said: “It’s fantastic to have a Group 1-winning two-year old. She’s a good one. She was in the sales’ race yesterday but we thought she was good enough for this one so we had to go for it..
“She’ll go for the Guineas but for a Mtoto she has a lot of speed so I’m a bit concerned whether she’ll get the trip.”
