HALFWAY To Heaven gave trainer Aidan O'Brien his 21st Group One winner of the season when putting up a game display to the land the £213,000 Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes on October 4.

The Pivotal filly was recording her third victory at the highest level this season, having also taken the Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh and the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood.

In today's contest, Halfway To Heaven, an 8/1 shot, battled on well inside the final furlong to hold off the persistent challenge of French raider Darjina by half a length.

Aidan O'Brien said: "She is a very tough filly and very game. She certainly doesn't lack toughness.

"This filly has had a long, hard season and to still be running so well at this stage is a tremendous credit to her.

"She might go for a race at the Breeders' Cup now, either the Mile or the Filly & Mare Turf."
