Impressive Leslie Harrison Memorial Nell Gwyn Stakes winner Infallible
CHEVELEY Park Stud are ready with an ultra-strong hand for this Sunday's stanjamesuk.com 1000 Guineas, staged over Newmarket's NatWest Rowley Mile.
The leading owner-breeder will field the first and third favourite - Infallible and Spacious, respectively - in the fillies' Classic.
The pair make up an 18-strong group, who remained in the £375,000 race at the six-day stage.
Infallible burst into contention for the race with her thrilling victory in the Leslie Harrison Memorial Nell Gwyn Stakes.
The 7/2 chance with sponsors Stan James is unbeaten from two starts - the same credentials as Spacious, who hasn't trialled this spring.
Indeed, the James Fanshawe-trained filly has just taken a while to shake off her winter coat and is expected to build on this weekend's effort.
Cheveley Park managing director Chris Richardson said: "James has brought Spacious on very gradually and whatever she does she will come on for it.
"I think a lot of people are concerned about Infallible's stamina, but I think she'll stay though I know she has a fair bit of speed.
