JUST a week to go until the Darley July Cup - the defining sprint of the year, staged at Newmarket - and this morning saw the two Aussie raiders Scenic Blast and Takeover Target put through their paces.
King’s Stand hero Scenic Blast, favourite for the £400,000 Group 1, had his trainer Dan Morton aboard for a spin on the July Course as he worked in company with the evergreen Takeover Target (Jay Ford).
The pair looked in top order as they zipped over the turf and it will take a very good European horse to stop the Darley July Cup spoils heading ‘down under’!
Next Friday, July 10, is a date for the diary for all sports enthusiasts - and anyone thrilled by pure power and speed.
