DARTS ACES BRISTOW AND DELLER IN ACTION AT THE STANJAMESUK FESTIVAL
DARTS thoroughbreds Eric Bristow and Keith Deller will set sparks flying alongside the equine stars at The StanJamesUK Guineas Festival, Newmarket, from Saturday, May 3 to Sunday, May 4.
With The NatWest Rowley Mile course set to stage the 200th running of the famous horseracing Classic, thestanjamesuk.com 2000 Guineas, arrers’ champs Bristow and Deller are poised to take on all-comers in the Stan James UK Legends and Punters Trophy.
For the second year running race-goers will have the chance to join forces with either the ‘Crafty Cockney’ or the ‘Milky Bar Kid’ and up for grabs is an all-expenses paid trip to the Stan James World Matchplay Darts Championships in July.
Bristow’s credentials are impeccable with five World Championships to his name. Deller took the big one in 1983 beating the Crafty Cockney in the final with a 138 check out that still remains as one of the TV moments of the sport. StanJamesUK is offering you a chance to mix it with these aces of the oche, culminating in a Sunday showdown on May 4.
To get involved, you just need to purchase this superb Stan JamesUK package for either day’s racing at Newmarket.
For just £30, you gain entrance to the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure, are provided with a race-card, glass of wine/beer or soft drink, a hot roast sandwich (vegetarian option available, to be secured at booking stage) and £10-worth of Stan James betting vouchers. On top of all that, you can access the StanJamesUK Village Marquee where the darts action is being hosted. This can be booked by calling the Newmarket Box Office on 01638 675500.
The package is one nailed-on winner that you can bank on. Then there’s the darts. Think you can bustle up darts’ big guns? Here is your chance to prove it at the StanJamesUK Guineas Festival.
Charlie McCann, Head of PR for Stan James said; "Bristow and Deller are two of the legends of darts and we know many of our punters will be desperate for a chance to beat them in a game of 501. Last year the Crafty Cockney tipped up the Cockney Rebel to everyone at 25/1 and cost us a fortune, so we're hoping there isn't another tenuous link that will cost us this year. Perhaps Eric has got a New Approach to the game?!
