JOCKEY TED Durcan took centre-stage on the NatWest Rowley Mile today as completed an incredible 11,933-1 four-timer.

Durcan enjoyed a marvellous afternoon as he was successful on board Kandahar Run, Windsor Knot, Damika and Greek Envoy.

He said: “I’ve been lucky enough to have a few four-timers in Dubai at Nad Al Sheba but this is the first time I’ve had one in England. I’m spoilt, really, to be riding horses like Kandahar Run and Windsor Knot. It is the last big meeting of the year here and it is lovely to be part of it, riding winners.”

The feature Georgia House Stud Darley Stakes saw Durcan boot home 7-1 shot Windsor Knot. The five-year-old, trained by Godolphin, held off Mashaahed and his more fancied stable-mate Blue Ksar to register a second Group 3 victory. The in-form Godolphin team were also victorious in the Lanwades Stud Several Stakes with Short Skirt making light of a 363-day lay-off to beat Ronaldsay.

Locally-based trainer William Haggas had a great day with Insaaf and Lady Grace ending up in the winner’s enclosure for him. Lady Grace was on target in the EBF National Stud Boadicea Fillies’ Stakes, while Insaaf earned a 40-1 quote from the sponsors for next year’s Stan James 1000 Guineas after striking in the Federation Of Bloodstock Agents EBF maiden.

Debutant General Eliott suggested a bright future lay ahead by making all in the first division of the Anglo Hibernian Bloodstock Insurance EBF maiden. Similar comments apply for Mukhber, who powered up the rising to secure a first-time out win in the second division.
