IT MIGHT be D-Day for Dutch Art in the Stan James 2000 Guineas tomorrow, but Peter Chapple-Hyam also brings another classic contender Authorized to the NatWest Rowley Mile - for a racecourse gallop.
Authorized has taken high rank in the betting for the Derby ever since he triumphed in the Group 1 Racing Post Trophy at Newbury last October.
And this weekend he takes a further step down the path to Epsom with a work-out alongside a stable companion at 1.20pm.
The son of Montjeu enjoyed a similar spin at the Craven meeting when his joint-owner Saleh Al Homaizi was on hand to watch Frankie Dettori.
Authorized has shown up nicely on the Al Bahathri poytrack gallop since then and this latest exercise will sharpen him up even more ahead of his planned seasonal bow in the Dante at York on May 17.
